for Use
The stain should
be applied by Smith & Rodger staining
cloth or brush. Care should be taken to wipe
of excess stain with a clean piece of cloth.
Allow to dry overnight before polishing. Colours
can be intermixed.
Traditionally the light and medium oak
are very dark and these should be thinned
back with white spirit to achieve an acceptable
depth of colour.
The redder shades of mahogany contain
dyestuffs which are not particularly light
fast and will tend to fade more quickly
than the other shades.
