Shellac Sanding Sealer may be applied by rubber,
brush, spray or cloth. Methylated spirit being
added where necessary to adjust the consistency.
Excessively thick coats should be avoided.
The sealer should be applied to the wood either
untreated or previously filled and stained. When
dry it sands easily without clogging the paper
and provides an excellent smooth base for overcoating
with shellac or wax polish.
An attractive satin finish for decorative work
can be obtained by applying two coats of shellac
sanding sealer and after lightly sanding the second
coat apply a coat of SUPERWAX White polish with
a cloth or OOOO steelwool pad. Rub up with a soft
clean cloth. This finish is ideal for application
to timber doors and creates a natural looking
finish.
